The details
PoleBenda OS pulls six marine sources in parallel (NWS forecast, buoys, METAR, advisories, tides) and turns them into one go / no-go verdict scaled to your hull length. Add the Hawaiian moon calendar, bite windows, a photo catch log, boat maintenance tracking and beacon telemetry, and you have the whole day on one screen.
Offline-first: every fetch is cached to disk and served stale-with-age when the signal dies. Installable as a PWA with a graphed tide chart.
Zero dependencies
Node 22 built-ins only. npm start is the entire install. Runs on a Mac mini, a Raspberry Pi or a laptop in the cabin.
