What it does
01

Reads the bag

Point the camera at the bean label. Origin, process and altitude come back as a starting profile, not a guess.

02

Drives the heat

Heater and fan move on their own to hold the curve. Grab a slider any time and it hands control back without losing the plan.

03

Prints the proof

Every roast saves its curve, development time and drop temp, and lays out a 3×4 label you can print four-up.

The details

Skywalker AI reads your bean, builds a roast profile for it, and drives the heater and fan of your Skywalker 500 in real time. You watch the curve. It hits the curve.

Preorder open. The first batch ships from Hilo, Hawaiʻi, in Q4 2026. You're charged at preorder, and you can cancel any time before your unit ships: reply to your receipt.

In the box

  • Bridge unit. An ESP32-S3 controller, assembled, flashed and calibrated.
  • Roaster harness. Keyed to the Skywalker 500 jack. Bolts on, nothing to modify.
  • USB-C cable. Power and firmware updates.
  • Quick start card. Pairing takes a minute.

How a roast goes

  1. Scan the bean. The camera reads the bag: origin, process, varietal and altitude.
  2. Build the plan. A target curve with drying, Maillard and development phases sized to that bean, and a charge temperature to preheat to.
  3. Drive the roast. The bridge holds the curve, opens the charge door at temperature and calls first crack.
  4. Log and label. Curve, RoR, development ratio and drop temp are saved, then laid out as a 3×4in bag label.

The safety floor

Every limit is enforced on the bridge, not in software you could talk out of it: fan floor whenever heat is on, 240°C hard cutoff, 2-second link watchdog, e-stop. If your phone drops off mid-roast the heater ramps to zero and the drum and fan keep running until the beans are cool.
